Good reference / overview for those with no background in public international law

This is a good reference for public international law. I used it to help guide me when I did Jessup Moot Court. For treaties, concepts and ICCJ case law, I could use the index to find what I wanted to know about and then read through that part of the book to get perspective. If you have to buy this for a class or even if it's optional for a class, it's worth holding onto or maybe getting the older edition as a keeper.
