Melvin A. Breuer is a Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
Arthur D. Friedman is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at George Washington University.
All three authors are Fellows of the IEEE and have contributed extensively to the fields discussed in this book.

average reference book

just average reference book.
the author does not elaborate more about certain key points when he/she actually needs but talk too much when certain points are very intuitive and easy.
As a graduate student who is currently taking a course whose reference book is this one, I feel this is just an average book. Ones still need to go online to search for more elaboration and explanations from time to time.
